About the Event
Observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was organized by the Office of the District Social Welfare Officer and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in collaboration with DDAC, Gram Vikas Parishad on 26th June 2026.
As part of the observance, several activities were conducted, including:
- A Free Eye Check-up and General Health Camp.
- HIV testing and screening by ICTC/PPTC/DSRC/SSK, NMCH Nagaon, with support from DACO, DISHA Clusters, and the Assam State AIDS Control Society.
- An awareness meeting was conducted where several distinguished speakers addressed the gathering, highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of collective efforts in creating a drug-free society.
